ONEONTA – After defeating Oneonta at home, the Norwich Purple Tornado girls' basketball team hit the road to play the Yellowjackets on Friday night, sweeping the series with a 52-37 victory.

Both teams battled it out in the first half before Norwich settled in and held Oneonta to just 12 points in the second half, including a three-pointer and a single free throw in the fourth quarter.

Norwich was led by Emma Urgo with 15 points, contributing with eight points in the final eight minutes of the contest. Brynley Ryan finished with 14 points, where she remained consistent throughout the game. Josey Ryan added nine points with seven points in the second half.

Kerragan Reid hit two threes and finished with eight points overall. Cally Richardson finished with five points as Alivia Burrell added a single free throw.
