MAC Bowling : Sidney boys and girls win tournament; Oxford-Greene and UV/Norwich/GMU girls co-champs of league

BINGHAMTON – The MAC league bowling championship was held on Tuesday at Ripics Carousel Lanes in Binghamton.

The Sidney/Unatego boys and girls won the championship tournament while Oxford-Greene and UV/Norwich/GMU girls shared the girls league title, tied with a 42-6 record. It is the fifth consecutive title for the Storm girls.The B-G girls finished sixth in the league while Afton/Harpursville took seventh.

The Sidney/Unatego boys won the MAC overall with a 41-7 record. B-G finished third with UV/Norwich/GMU in fourth, Oxford-Greene in fifth and Afton/Harpursville in seventh.

The following athletes have received league awards for their great efforts this season in categories such as: high game, high series, and all-star recognition based on averages.

The Storm’s Teagin Eccleston finished second in boys high game this season with a 289, behind Sidney/Unatego’s Caidyn Lambrecht’s 300. Dawson Robinson tied for second with B-G’s Ethan Beardslee with a high series of a 740. Brayden Prentice finished fifth for high series with a 711 as B-G’s Jacob Lyle finished sixth with a 708 series.
