Norwich boys’ swim finishes sixth in the Class B championship

ENDWELL – The Norwich Purple Tornado boys’ swim team traveled to Maine-Endwell for the Section IV, Class B championship finals on Saturday, where they finished sixth as a team. Maine-Endwell won the Class B title.

Kris Deuel completed his final events as a senior as he took fifth in the 200 freestyle, setting another personal best time of 1:58.54 with teammate Amon Oliver in eighth with his new best 2:03.04. Deuel and Oliver also swam in the 500 freestyle. Deuel took third with a best 5:23.55 as Oliver finished in fifth place with a new best time of 5:29.68.

Deuel, Oliver, Nate Shtrauch, and Alex Moutarde took third in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:40.48.
