ENDWELL – After defeating Windsor at home for the Section IV, Class A quarterfinals, the Norwich Purple Tornado boys’ basketball team had a chance to return to the Sectional finals for the first time since winning back-to-back Class B titles in 2016 and 2017. Norwich only had to get past the mighty, reigning sectional champs, the Maine-Endwell Spartans. However, Norwich dropped to a Spartan team that posted 91 points against Chenango Valley 77-57, ending a solid 2024-25 season.

Norwich’s Steven Dowdall led the team with 19 points in his final high school basketball game. Dowdall has made so many memories and earned many achievements as well, including hitting the 1000 career points milestone this season.
