B-G hosts the 2025 Section IV Badminton/Table Tennis Championship

BAINBRIDGE – Over the weekend, 10 teams and 87 student-athletes competed in the 2025 Section IV Badminton/Table Tennis Championship, held at Bainbridge-Guilford High School. Sidney became the Larry Hynes Section IV Champions with 20 points, one-ahead of B-G with 19 and in second place. Norwich came in sixth place with six points and Afton in 10th place. Whitney Point won the Jody Hughes Sportsmanship Award.

B-G’s Breanna Casey and Quinton Beckwith from Sidney received the Paul Girolamo Award for being the most outstanding badminton players. Harpo Hardt and Blake Tuttle were one of four players to receive the George Williams Award-Outstanding Table Tennis players.

Beckwith and Casey came away with the victories for boys’ and girls’ Badminton singles.

Norwich’s Mitchell Collins and Connor White took second in the boys’ badminton doubles behind Gabriel Cirigliano and Connor Van der Sommen from Sidney.

Riley Wolford and Paulina He teamed up for the Purple Tornado in the girls’ doubles, where they took second as B-G’s Merren Lorimer and Brenna George finished fourth.

B-G’s Jayslin Henderson and Don Johnson finished third in the badminton mixed doubles.

Brock Porter took third in the table tennis boys’ singles for the Bobcats while Blake Tuttle and Harpo Hardt won the boys’ doubles. Laeni Baldwin and Marissa Mayo came out on top for the table tennis girls’ doubles. Abby Mason and Rahim Meghani finished third for B-G in the mixed doubles.
