The Class of 2025 inducted Kyle Kelly, wrestler from Chenango Forks, Rick Gumble, coach, official, and contributor from Chenango Forks, as well as locals to the Chenango County area: Greg Lehr, coach, official, and contributor from Chenango Valley, Jake Roe, wrestler from Whitney Point, and Tristan Rifanburg, wrestler for your hometown Norwich. The committee also recognized all the Section IV state qualifiers and place winners, coaches of the year, wrestlers of the year, which Norwich’s Maverick Beckwith won Division II wrestler of the year as he won his second state tournament.
“Maverick was only scored on this year by just two opponents,” Norwich head coach Garett Sylstra said at the banquet. “He is a natural leader who is self-worthy and self-determined and he is someone that we can build the program around.”
Congratulations to all inductees and current athletes who were in attendance on a great contribution to the sport of wrestling.
