NORWICH — The Chenango County Farm Bureau (CCFB) will host its Inaugural Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser from 8 to 11 a.m., April 5, at the Norwich Grange Hall, located at 167 County Road 32A in Norwich.
All are welcome to enjoy pancakes cooked by Cornell Cooperative Exchange (CCE) Chenango staff and locally sourced foods from nearby area farms.
“There will be home fries from Cornell Farms, bacon from Austin Farms, maple syrup from Schmidt's Farm, honey from Kutik’s, milk, and coffee,” said CCE Director Craig Brown. “There will also be Chobani yogurt and creamers, thanks to their generous donation,” he added.
The cost is $12 for ages 12 and up, $8 ages five to 12 and free for those five and under.
Brown said the fundraiser is to support the Chenango County Farm Bureau.
“They have used funds in the past to support programs like our own Agriculture Literacy Month in March, where they purchased half of the books that are being read and then donated to our local school districts,” he said.
The Pancake Breakfast is sponsored by CCE Chenango, Austin Farm, Chobani and Kutik’s.
