BG Baseball starts 2025 season with big shutout win against SV

CONKLIN – The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats baseball team traveled to take on non-league opponent Sus Valley on Wednesday afternoon to begin the 2025 season.

B-G came home with a 13-0 shutout victory, including a big day at the plate for Connor Davy and great pitching on the mound for Timmy Kinter and Mason Acquisto, combining for a no-hitter.

After a scoreless first inning, B-G got on the board in the top of the second inning, scoring five runs. Brayden Swartwout led the inning off with a single to center before stealing second. He advanced to third after two walks with two outs. With the bases loaded, Parker Buttice drew a walk to bring in Swartwout before Kaiden Seymour drilled a line drive to center for a triple to clear the bases. Seymour came in to score on a passed ball to make it 5-0.

B-G added on in the third with two additional runs. Swartwout led off the inning with a walk, advanced to second on a wild pitch and to third on an error before scoring on a wild pitch. Buttice drove in a run with a single to left.
