SCHENEVUS – The Oxford Blackhawks baseball team was back in action on Thursday, traveling to non-league opponent Schenevus. The Dragons picked up the 10-5 win with Oxford rallying for a late comeback in the seventh inning.

Down 7-0, Oxford got on the scoreboard in the top of the sixth inning. Degan Endress led off the inning with a double to left field and came in to score on Landen Olinski’s RBI single.

Schenevus added three more runs in the bottom of the sixth, which only made things a bit more difficult for the Blackhawks, who came up to bat for the final time in the top of the seventh.

Noah Chesebro reached base on a dropped third strike before Conner Dunagan doubled to left, putting himself and Chesebro in good scoring position.
