SIDNEY – After Tuesday’s season opener at home against Sidney, the Oxford Blackhawks tennis team traveled to face the Sabers again on Thursday. Oxford fell 5-0 on Monday but picked up one point in a 4-1 deficit on Thursday.

Sam Hendricks and Connor Van Der Sommen had a rematch in the first doubles, where both had a hard fought first set with Van der Sommen winning 7-6 (7-5) and then taking the second set with a score of 6-1.

Taegan Manwarren fell to Chloe Van der Sommen in both sets with scores of 6-3 and 6-1.
