NEW BERLIN — The Sam and Adele Golden Foundation for the Arts will be hosting an opening reception for the 12th annual Made in Paint gallery exhibit from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 12 at the Sam and Adele Golden Gallery in Golden Artist Colors, located at 188 Bell Road in New Berlin.
The reception is free to attend and open to the public. There will be live music by an acoustic trio, sushi, cheese and charcuterie boards from Jewett's Cheese Shop, beer from Hidden Springs Brewhouse, and wine.
The gallery features artwork from artists in the 2024 residency program, including Massiel Mafes, Jordan Craig, Jessica Lincoln, Preetika Rajgariah, Amra Fatima Khan, David Najib Kasir, Hans Gindlesberger, Kirk Maynard, Henry Morales, Ernest Shaw, JD Raenbeau, Wanda Raimundi-Ortiz, Inez de Brauw, Omar Rodriguez-Graham, Regina Jestrow, Anna Ortiz, Lilian Martinez and Antonius-Tin Bui.
During the residency, artists spend four weeks in a renovated barn across the street from Golden Artist Colors. They have access to their own studio space, Golden Artist Colors products, material and application specialists, curated workshops, studio supplies, and more.
The purpose of the residency is for artists to try out new products and techniques, and experiment with their art.
