B-G baseball stays hot with big win over Roxbury

ROXBURY – After a big win against Oxford, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats baseball team took the hour and a half trip to Roxbury to take on non-league opponent Gilboa Conesville/Roxbury. B-G stayed hot with a 12-2 victory to improve to 4-1 on the season.

B-G put up three runs in both the first and second innings before scoring two in the fourth and finishing it off with four runs in the seventh.

The three runs in the first came on errors and after Kaiden Seymour sent the Rockets down 1, 2, 3 by striking out the side, B-G added on in the second. Jaxson McGraw started off with a double to right while Parker Buttice traded places with him with an RBI double of his own.

Connor Davy joined in with his own RBI double, stole third, and scored after tagging up on a line out from Timmy Kinter.

Both teams were held in check until B-G added on with two more runs. McGraw reached on an error, Buttice walked, Seymour grounded into a double play, but then Davy hit a line drive to left and Kinter drove in Buttice on an RBI single. Brayden Swartwout doubled to bring in Davy.
