Norwich baseball falls to Sus Valley

NORWICH – After some time off, the Norwich Purple Tornado baseball team returned to action on Monday evening against Sus Valley. It was also Norwich’s fifth straight home game. Norwich fell 15-0 against the Sabers.

After two scoreless innings, Sus Valley got on the board with two runs in the third and then broke the game open in the fourth with an explosive 11-run inning.

Norwich was held to three hits on the day, two from Zach Parker and one from Collin Reid. Hunter Coombs drew the team’s only walk while Connor White reached on an error, Gavin Brown was hit by the pitch, and Kaden Downey reached on a fielder’s choice as the only other Norwich base runners.
