It is alleged that Lewicki stole merchandise from several retail stores in various locations and then listed the stolen items for sale online from his residence on Griffin Street in the City of Norwich.

“The joint investigation from police officers of the City of Norwich Police and members of the New York State Police ultimately led to Lewicki’s identification as a suspect and were able to trace the stolen goods back to his online listings, which resulted in his subsequent arrest,” said Norwich Police Chief Reuben Roach. “Through the hard work and in-depth investigation by both agencies, a subject with a nearly 50-year criminal history has been held accountable for his actions.”

Lewicki was arraigned in City of Norwich Court and remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility without bail. Police said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed.
