NEW BERLIN — On Saturday, April 26, the Village of New Berlin will have an Environmental Day community clean-up event with free paper shredding, dumpster and tire disposal, and sneaker recycling.

The Village of New Berlin Mayor Peter Lennon said this multi-event clean-up has become popular over the recent years with community participation by many local businesses and organizations.

"This year's Environmental Day will celebrate Arbor Day with planting and landscaping, as well as Earth Day, to include clean-up activities," said Lennon.

He said, “It's a great way to show village pride and announce to all that New Berlin is ready for spring."
