Registration is open for Chenango Arts Council Kids' Summer Art Camp

CHENANGO COUNTY ― Registration is now open for the annual Chenango Arts Council Kids' Summer Art Camp.


Young artists aged 9 to 14 can sign up for one or two weeks of art camp, scheduled for July 28 to August 1 and August 4 to 8. Sessions will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day at the Chenango Arts Council, located at 27 West Main Street in Norwich.


Registration is $100 per week. Space is limited and available spots fill up fast, so it's recommended to sign up early. To register, visit ChenangoArts.org or stop by the Chenango Arts Council.

This year, youth will be taught by Instructor Ashe Martin, an artist from the Cortland area with 20 years of experience in a variety of mediums.


"The instructor is a talented mosaic artist, her name is Ashe Martin," said Chenango Arts Council Administrative Assistant Mary Beth Miller. "She does a lot of mosaic work like Turkish lamps, candle holders, planters ... Mosaics I think is her speciality, but she also does a lot of drawing and painting."
