B-G baseball falls short to Schenevus

SCHENEVUS – After tearing it up in league play, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats baseball team traveled to take on non-league opponent Schenevus on Friday afternoon. The Bobcats snapped a five-game win streak as they suffered a 4-2 loss to the Dragons.

The Bobcats did outhit the Dragons 4-3 but could not piece together much more after a 2-run first inning.

B-G’s early 2-0 start lasted through three innings until Schenevus tied it up in the bottom of the fourth and added two final runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Parker Buttice drew a lead-off walk to start the game for the Bobcats and came in to score on a double by Connor Davy. Davy scored on a fielder’s choice by Timmy Kinter.
