S-E flag football falls to Cicero-North Syracuse

SHERBURNE – The Sherburne-Earlville Lady Timberwolves flag football team resumed play on Monday following spring break as they hosted Cicero-North Syracuse. S-E fell 29-0 against a tough Class A Northstars team.

After an interception on the first drive, the Northstars attempted a scoring drive deep in S-E’s territory. However, S-E came up with the stop with flag pulls by Peyton Darragh and Emma Schrader and good coverage by the rest of the Timberwolves defense to take over on downs.

However, Cicero-North Syracuse pinned S-E deep in their own end zone, which resulted in a safety and the ball back for the Northstars. S-E’s Schrader had more good plays on defense to stop the Northstars from scoring but C-NS did score on a Quarterback keeper and converted following the play.
