"This training is actually run through the New York State Citizen Preparedness Corps. They have an initiative that they’re trying to educate New York State residents about how to prepare for these things," explained Oxford Memorial Library Director Gillian Mulder. "They provide a lot of great information like how to set up go kits, plans to have in place, and all that. Just so that way, when the worst case scenario happens, you can be prepared."

The Disaster Preparedness Training is free to attend and no prior registration is required. Individuals are welcome to simply show up and learn.
