GREENE – The Greene Trojans softball team honored its class of 2025 seniors prior to Wednesday’s game against Harpursville. Congratulations to Kenzie Button, Audra Doll, Cali Knapp, and Abby Yahner.

Harpursville held on to a 12-6 victory after getting an early 3-0 head start, firing away and rallying on two outs throughout the contest.

Down 5-0 in the bottom of the fifth inning, Greene got on the board with a two-out RBI single by Abby Yahner after Audra Doll went three-for-three with a single to center.

The Hornets extended their lead to make it 7-1, holding Greene until the bottom of the sixth. Cali Knapp had an infield single and advanced to second on a fielder’s choice that made everyone safe. Summer Dean reached to load the bases before Ireland Dehaan drew a bases loaded walk to drive in a run. Doll finished four-for-four with a RBI single and then another run came in on an error to make it 7-4.
