OXFORD – It was a battle between the Oxford Blackhawks and the Delhi Bulldogs softball teams as Wednesday’s game went into extra innings. Oxford walked the game off to take a 20-19 victory.

Both teams fired up with 16 hits and went back-and-forth, where Oxford came back with a five-run seventh inning to send the game into extras tied at 19.

Only allowing a walk in the top of the seventh, Oxford came up strong in the bottom half of the inning. Aubrey Rickard led the inning off with a single to left field, stole second, and scored the game-winning run as Cora Hodge hit a tough ball to second that was unplayable and reached on an error to send Rickard home.
