Afton softball comes away with win vs Worcester

AFTON – After defeating Delhi 14-9 on Monday, the Afton Crimson Knights softball team came away with a 9-6 victory against non-league opponent Worcester on Wednesday.

Jenna Wilson struck out 11 batters and had a great defense back her up, including a diving catch by Miranda Schultz for the second out in the seventh inning with Worcester attempting a late comeback. Wilson struck out the final batter to end the game. Wilson also went two-for-three at the plate.

Makenna Schultz went three-for-four with two RBIs and scored two runs. Madicine Kern and Megan Racine led the Crimson Knights with three stolen bases.
