NORWICH - The 6th annual Chenango Community Baby Shower will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the main lobby area at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital at 179 North Broad Street in Norwich NY.

The Chenango County Community Baby Shower has been successfully held for five years. We are confident that this location will be our best one yet and just in time for Mother’s Day!

In addition to the activities that have always been a part of the event for many years, UHS has offered to add a health care provider meet & greet, maternity tour and a photo booth, as well as snacks made by the hospital nutrition department.

The Community Baby Shower is a great opportunity for pregnant women and their partners, as well as new parents, to connect to valuable resources in their community. This event will focus on educating women about pregnancy, birth, and motherhood. Families will get a ticket for a door prize and have a chance to win extra door prize tickets by visiting informational booths and attending educational sessions. There will be several community health professionals, human service providers, and various other professionals in attendance to offer on-site learning opportunities. There will be door prizes, raffles and games. Throughout the day, there will also be educational seminars featuring relevant topics for our attendees.

This event is FREE and open to all pregnant women, families, and parents of children less the 12 months of age. Come join in the festivities, enter to win great prizes, and learn about what the community has to offer new families. Every person coming to the event will walk away with something. We are excited to help you welcome your little one!

The Community Baby Shower is coordinated by: Mothers and Babies Perinatal Network, Chenango County Public Health, UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital, UHS Women’s Health, Chenango Healthy Families PACT Program and CAPCO Chenango County WIC program. These agencies work in partnership as part of the Breastfeeding Partners Coalition of Chenango County. We work together to improve health by encouraging, promoting, and supporting breastfeeding in Chenango County.
