NORWICH – The Norwich Purple Tornado baseball team wrapped up its series with Sus Valley on Wednesday afternoon, where they honored senior Jacob Dowdall. Dowdall will be missing the official senior night, which will be May 9, due to competing in the Archery National Competition in Kentucky.

Norwich fell 6-3 to the Sabers, attempting a late comeback that was cut short by a good defense. Both teams were held to three hits on the day.

Down 5-0 in the bottom of the third inning, Norwich got on the board as Kaden Downey was hit by the pitch with two outs, stole second, and rushed home on an error during Jaxson Francis’ at-bat.
