CHENANGO COUNTY — Recently, Dairy Bowl contestants from Chenango County and surrounding counties competed in the New York State 4-H Dairy Bowl Contest.
The Dairy Bowl is a competitive event that challenges 4-H youth on their knowledge of dairy cattle, health, nutrition, and the dairy industry.
Extensive studies prepare participants to demonstrate their skills in a fast-paced quiz format.
One of the contestants from Chenango County was 4-H youth member Rinoa Brown. She was recognized for her impressive performance during the contest and placed eighth individually across the state, while leading her team to finish in second place.
"We are so proud of Rinoa for representing Chenango County with such enthusiasm and sportsmanship," said 4-H Youth Development Educator Victoria Ryan.
Ryan said the accomplishment was due to Rinoas individual excellence and collaborative efforts in achieving the teams shared goal.
