Police confirmed Crandall succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash and was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling westbound; the school bus from the Oxford Academy and Central School District was traveling northbound when they collided.

The school bus had eight children on board, ages 10 to 14. A 12-year-old child was evaluated at Chenango Memorial Hospital, no other children reported injuries.

The operator of the school bus, a 58-year-old male of Sherburne, and an aide, a 54-year-old female of Greene, were both evaluated on scene.

Requests for additional information about the incident were left at the Oxford School District Superintendent's Office Thursday.

Members of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Collision Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene. The crash remains under investigation.

More information will be released as it is shared.
