BINGHAMTON – The Norwich Purple Tornado baseball team traveled to take on Chenango Valley on Wednesday evening, falling 7-3 in the only matchup against the Warriors this season. Norwich has just three regular season games remaining, including Friday night’s upcoming game against Johnson City.

Norwich took an early 1-0 lead on an RBI double by Jaxson Francis. However, Chenango Valley took a 2-1 lead in the second inning with both teams going back-and-forth in scoring early on.

Francis came up big again with his second RBI of the day with a ground out and Graham Burton also had a groundout RBI in the third as Norwich regained a brief 3-2 lead.
