NORWICH - The Monday Evening Musical Club is proud to present this year’s scholarship winners, Averie Fink and Isabelle Voss.

Our free concert will begin at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 12 at the United Church of Christ, 11 W. Main St. in Norwich.

Averie Fink played the trumpet in the Norwich HS marching band as well as the wind and jazz ensembles. She is a member of the Madrigal singers. Averie plans to attend SUNY Empire State College and hopes to pursue either music education or Music Therapy.

Isabelle Voss, a vocalist/soprano had performed in the NHS Madrigal choir and has had roles in the Norwich HS musicals since the 7th grade. She also performed in the jazz and marching band. Isabelle plans to attend Nazareth University with a double major in Theatre Arts & Inclusive Early Childhood education. She hopes to direct elementary school musicals, teach voice lessons and perform.

In addition to the winners’ performances, MEMC will showcase advanced students: pianist Emerson Mull from Hamilton, pianists Ben and Nora Collins from Norwich, pianist Clara Leach from Oxford and vocalists Haley Wright and Leah Spence from Norwich.

The Monday Evening Musical Club thanks all the amazing, dedicated music teachers who work with our students. As always, MEMC invites free-will donations for its Scholarship Fund, which was begun in 1954, to support Chenango County high school seniors going to college to study music.
