B-G, Norwich, UV, and Oxford-Greene track teams attend Oneonta Invitational

ONEONTA – On Friday, the Bainbridge-Guilford, Norwich, Unadilla Valley, and Oxford-Greene track and field teams traveled to Oneonta to compete in a local invitational. The Lady Bobcats took second behind Oneonta in the girls’ meet with Norwich in ninth and UV in 13th.

The Oxford-Greene boys finished third behind Oneonta and Cobleskill-Richmondville, B-G took fifth and Norwich finished seventh. Full results can be found on ny.milesplit.com.

The Lady Bobcats’ 4x100 meter relay team of Keelan Ammon, Makayla McCloud, Kayla Patton, and Elanor Sprow took second, behind Oneonta, with a time of 54.67 seconds.

Freshman Maddie Ingham came away with the top finish in the 800 meter run with the fastest time of 2:28.07 with teammate Chandler Benjamin in 21st (3:18.85).

Laila Williams took second behind West Canada Valley with a new best time of 1:13.63 in the 400 meter hurdles as Vanessa Brazee finished 18th with a time of 1:28.95.

Lalaenia Baldwin and Vanessa Brazee competed in the 2000 meter steeplechase, where Baldwin took fifth place with a time of 8:57.46 and Brazee finished ninth with a time of 10:02.64.

Jalyn Winans ran the 1500 meters, where she achieved a new personal best 5:59.98 with teammate Ruth Wilson in 22nd (7:19.61).

Keelan Ammon finished fourth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:05.56 as Madalynn Beardslee came in 12th with a new best time of 1:15.16.

Ammon and Makayla McCloud both competed in the 100 meter dash, where McCloud finished third (13.38) with Ammon directly behind her in fourth place (14.01).
