GREENE – On Monday, the Greene Trojans girls’ flag football team hosted Sus Valley for senior night, honoring a big senior class of 11 players. Congratulations to Nadia Brown, Sara Dominguez-Acevedo, Claire Flanagan, Maria Rossato, Jazmine Garcia, Ella Gaylord, Kenley Jenks, June Patino-Montoya, Alexa West, Audra Doll, and Zabelle Straniero.

Greene fell 26-14 to the Sabers. Greene saw a great defense from Ella Gaylord, Kendra Ekstrom, Braelyn Blakeslee, Camryn Kirchbaum, Allison James, Jo Jo Trepa, Macie Browning, and Zabby Straniero, who came up big with the Sabers trying to convert on a fourth down. Blakeslee came up with an interception, which turned into a scoring drive for the offense.

Following the interception, Greene’s Audra Doll found Kendra Ekstrom for a long pass and then found Kirchbaum to set up a first and goal. Doll would take it in herself for the score and Kirchbaum with the good conversion to put Greene within six (13-7).
