OXFORD – The Oxford Blackhawks softball team honored its 2025 seniors prior to Monday’s matchup against Harpursville. Congratulations to Tiannah Dean-Anderson, Raya Warner, and Trinity Jones.

Oxford fell 16-3 to the Hornets.

Harpursville got on the board in the first with a run before a two-out rally in the top of the third, scoring four runs. Oxford answered back in the bottom of the fifth with two runs, but could not hold the Hornets from adding on in the final two innings. Oxford scored one final run in the bottom of the sixth.

Emmalee Reiss led off the bottom of the fifth inning with a hard hit ball to the center, and advanced to second on an error. Dean-Anderson reached on an error as Reiss moved to third. Peyton Cummings drove in Reiss on a single to left with Dean Anderson advancing to third on the play after stealing second.
