Greene baseball attempts late comeback but falls short to Delhi

GREENE – The Greene Trojans baseball team hosted Delhi for a MAC consolation game on Tuesday afternoon. Greene attempted a late comeback in the bottom of the seventh inning, but efforts fell short. Greene fell 9-6.

Delhi got on the board with two runs in the top of the second before three scoreless innings until the Bulldogs extended their lead with a seven-run sixth inning.

Greene, held through six innings, scored its six runs in the final at-bats. Lincoln Youngs singled and advanced to second to start the inning before going to third on an infield single from Trent Drew. Drew stole second to put runners in scoring position with two outs.
