SIDNEY – The Afton Crimson Knights softball team are closing out the 2025 season hot after winning four-straight games, including Wednesday’s 11-8 win against Sidney. Wednesday’s game concluded the MAC consolation as the Crimson Knights will now await sectionals.

The Crimson Knights were off to a hot start, scoring nine runs in the first inning before extending their lead with a run in the fifth and sixth innings. Afton scored 11 runs on seven hits.

Sidney got on the board with four runs in the third inning and attempted a late comeback in the final two innings, but the Crimson Knights held them with a good defense.
