Norwich softball drops to Johnson City

JOHNSON CITY – The Norwich Purple Tornado softball team closed out the STAC league season as they traveled to Johnson City on Friday. Norwich fell 4-0 to the Wildcats.

The Purple Tornado were held to one hit as Caitlin Wetterhahn broke up the no-hitter with a two-out single in the seventh inning.

Zaylee Thomas reached base on a hit by pitch as Bri Cirigliano reached on an error to lead-off the game and stole second. Johnson City’s starting pitcher did not give up a single walk.
