CHENANGO COUNTY – The 2025 Section IV tournament brackets have been released, following Monday’s seeding meeting, and will feature local Chenango County baseball and softball teams in both Class C and Class D. Baseball sectionals begin this afternoon and softball starts on Thursday.

Stay alert to any location and/or time changes through the Section IV website via updated brackets and on social media platforms. Good luck to all teams!

Class C Softball:

Greene earned the ninth seed and will travel to Harpursville on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. The winner will face top-seed Deposit-Hancock.

Bainbridge-Guilford is the fifth seed and will host Delhi on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

Oxford is the 10th seed and will travel to Seton Catholic on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. The winner will face Union Springs on Tuesday, May 27.

Class D Softball:

Afton earned the second seed and will have a first round bye. The Crimson Knights will host Cherry Valley Springfield/SS on Tuesday, May 27 at 4:30 p.m.

Class C Baseball:

The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats baseball team is the only representative to make sectionals in Chenango County. The Bobcats earned the seventh seed and will host Southern Cayuga this afternoon in Bainbridge, but the game may get moved due to the upcoming weather. The winner will advance to play Deposit-Hancock on Friday, May 23.
