B-G softball falls to Deposit-Hancock in the semifinals

DEPOSIT – After defeating both Delhi and Moravia, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats softball team had their biggest challenge yet, the Deposit-Hancock Eagles, for a chance to go to the Section IV, Class C championship game. Deposit-Hancock, who earned the top-seed in the tournament and won the MAC league, defeated B-G 10-0 and will play Tioga in the championship game on Saturday.

The Eagles scored four runs in the first and six runs in the fifth to seal the victory.

Despite being shut out, the Bobcats put up four hits with one hit each from Breanna Casey, who received WCDO athlete of the week, Jayslin Henderson, Tori Suda, and Brenna George. George also stole a base while Emma Kinter reached base on a hit by pitch.
