UV’s Shelby Rose and Jacob Prentice advance to the next round of Bowling Nationals

INDIANA – The 2025 U.S. High School National Bowling National Championship tournament was underway on June 7 and wraps up today, June 9 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Unadilla Valley seniors Shelby Rose and Jacob Prentice qualified and raised money to attend the tournament. They are competing against 650 bowlers in total from 22 states across the country.

Both Rose and Prentice advance to the next round after Rose bowled a combined 802 series in four games. She currently sits in 38th place out of 236 bowlers. Prentice is currently in 59th place out of 379 entries after rolling a 858 series.

Both will bowl three more games this morning at 9 a.m. in attempt to make the next cut. If they do make the next cut and so on, the boys’ and girls’ singles championships will conclude roughly around 3 to 4 p.m.
