Bainbridge Bolts fall to Delhi to open up 2025 Pony League season
DELHI – The Bainbridge Bolts are in action for the 2025 Otsenango Pony league season, where they faced off against Delhi on Thursday night. Bainbridge fell 12-2 through five innings played.
Delhi took an early 5-0 lead and added on before the Bolts got on the board in the top of the fifth.
Trenton Smith led off the inning with a hit by pitch, stole second, and advanced on Camren Cuozzo’s infield single and scored on an error.
Another hit by pitch and a single by Braison Ives loaded the bases with one out. Aidan Haynes singled to left to drive in Camren Cuozzo.
The Bolts had four hits on the night with one each from Braison Ives, Aidan Haynes, Brayden Wehrli, and Camren Cuozzo.
Aidan Haynes and Braison Ives split time on the mound with Haynes going two innings and Ives working 2.1 innings of relief. Haynes allowed six runs (five earned) on five hits, five walks, and had two strikeouts.
Ives matched Haynes’ numbers as he allowed six runs (five earned) on nine hits, two walks, and struck out four batters.
Bainbridge (0-1) hosts the Oneonta Jr. Outlaws at the Bainbridge Town Field on Monday at 6 p.m.
