Bainbridge Bolts get past Oneonta Jr Outlaws
BAINBRIDGE – The Bainbridge Bolts PONY League team was back in action on Monday night, hosting the Oneonta Jr. Outlaws. Bainbridge came away with a big 12-3 victory at home.
After a scoreless first inning, which included Bainbridge’s own Aidan Haynes on the hill, where he struck out the side, the Bolts got on the board in the bottom of the second. Micah Casey led off the inning with a walk before stealing second and third and came in to score on an error.
Bainbridge added on to its lead with two more runs in the third before Oneonta scored in the top of the fourth. Trenton Smith, who had a one-out single, stole second and third and scored on a passed ball while Aidan Haynes, who drew a walk, scored on an RBI single from Davis Barnard.
A wild pitch made it 4-1 Bainbridge in the bottom of the fourth before the Bolts had fun in the fifth and sixth innings, scoring four runs each and held Oneonta to two final runs in the top of the sixth.
