NEW BERLIN - On July 1, the New Berlin Library kicks off the 2025 Summer Reading Program. The theme this year is “Color Your World”. The New Berlin Library will be inviting participating children to join the “Color Your World” reading adventure. Children 12 and younger are invited to pick up reading logs and art swag and begin their reading adventure.
The Summer Reading Program at the New Berlin Library runs July 1 through August 29. Participating children record their reading in 15-minute increments on reading logs and get prizes for reaching reading milestones.
Participating children are also entered into a raffle for the Summer Reading Program grand prizes when they reach reading milestones. The grand prizes this year are: Bluey gift basket, Squishmallow 4-pack set, 2 Pack 71 x 42-inch Inflatable Pool Floaties (Unicorn and Flamingo), and a Razor AW Kick Scooter.
The winners of the grand prize will be drawn on August 29. The more a child reads, the more entries they receive in the grand prize raffles. The prizes for the reading program are part of the Stewarts Holiday Match Grant Program and a donation from the Norwich Walmart.
In addition, this year adults can join in on the Summer Reading Program prizes. During July and August when adults visit the library, you will receive a ticket to enter a raffle for a gift basket. The drawing for the gift basket will be on August 29. The gift basket contains a Stanley Quencher H2.0 Tumbler with handle and straw, fuzzy socks, a New Berlin Library ceramic mug, a New Berlin Library full-color tote bag, Utica coffee, a handmade crochet blanket, and a $25 Nook gift certificate.
