NEW BERLIN – After a soggy start to the 2025 summer season, the South New Berlin Horseshoe Club has been blessed with beautiful weather the last few weeks. The club just finished its seventh week as of June 18.

Potter’s Tire (Billy Schermerhorn and John Edwards) are currently in the lead with Kelly’s Flowers (Lee Coon and Jess Sherwood) and Magro's Pizzeria (Rob Rowlands and Lisa Rowlands) tied for second. Potter’s Tire is just a half game ahead at 21-7 to both teams who sit at 20.5-7.5.

Lee Coon swept the men’s leaderboards in both the high singles and high series. Coon had the highest game of a 68 with a high series of 190. Ron Anderson took second in high singles with a 67 with Al Patten in third with a 63. Patten finished second in the high series (171) with Billy Schermerhorn in third (163).

Kate Lloyd swept the women’s leaderboards as she had the highest game of a 56 with Cindy Miller (49) in second and Jess Sherwood (48) in third. Lloyd finished with the highest series of a 153 to Miller’s 123 and Sherwood’s 119.

Kelly’s Flowers took both of the team high singles (110) and high series (309) while The Stadium (Al Bush and Al Patten) swept the high single handicap (216) and handicap series (623) .

The South New Berlin Horseshoe Club meets every Wednesday night.
