Norwich Post 189 drops to Endicott

NORWICH – The Norwich Post 189 Legion ball team hosted Endicott Post 82 on Monday night on the turf field. It was a close game with Endicott leading 4-0, leaving Norwich with some room to answer back. However, a big seventh inning led to Endicott coming away with a 13-0 victory.

Norwich had two men on in the bottom of the second with Braden Reid hustling it out on a play through the infield that was misplayed on two outs. He advanced to second on a bouncer and hard ball to play, which was an infield single for Kassen Stubb. Both would fail to score to keep the game scoreless.

However, Endicott got on the board quick in the top of the third with a lead-off home run over the fence in center field. Another run came on a sacrifice fly, which also resulted in a double play. Gavin Brown in right field made the catch and got the ball to first to catch the runner before he went back to the base.
