Bainbridge Bolts roll past Oneonta with a big victory

BAINBRIDGE – The Bainbridge Bolts PONY League team hosted the Oneonta Jr. Outlaws on Monday night, where they saw a big night from Aidan Haynes and the rest of the offense in the 13-1 win. The Bolts remain in second place in the C division with a record of 5-2 while Delhi is leading with an undefeated 7-0 record.

Bainbridge got on the board early in the bottom of the first to take a 3-0 lead. Mason Acquisto drew a lead-off walk, stole second, and third to put himself in scoring position. Aidan Haynes was hit by the pitch to put runners on the corners for Brayden Wehrli. Wehrli was quick as he drilled a line drive to center field to bring in Acquisto and move Haynes to third. Wehrli stole second before the first out.

Haynes and Wehrli pulled off a double steal as Haynes came in to score and Wehrli moved to third. Wehrli then scored on a passed ball.

Oneonta answered back in the top of the second with a steal of home before the final out.
