PLYMOUTH - Little Farmhouse Lavender, located at 368 Pike Hill Road in Plymouth, will be hosting the second annual Chenango County Lavender Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 19.

The free festival will include more than 25 vendors, demonstrations, activities, music, games, and of course, lots of lavender.

Sally O'Malley, who owns Little Farmhouse Lavender with her husband John, said attendees can head out into the field to cut their own lavender, or purchase pre-cut bunches.

"You can either cut your own, or sometimes people don’t want to cut their own, it might be hot or whatever, so we are cutting now, and we’ll have some available so if they don’t want to cut, they can get a pre-cut bunch and go home with lavender," she explained.

She said individuals can also watch the Little Farmhouse Lavender Facebook page for details on upcoming U-pick events.

Little Farmhouse Lavender will also be selling their handmade lavender products, which include sachets, heat packs, neck wraps, soap, lotion, pillow mist, plain and lavender honey, sugar scrub, tea, candles, and more. They will also be there to discuss lavender and its uses with visitors.

There will be lavender and maple treats for sale, food trucks, as well as cutout standees and a giant Adirondack chair for photo ops.
