Pre-registration is required. To register or learn more, contact The Place Executive Director Sharon Vesely at 607-336-9696 ext. 103.
"There’s ten different metaphors that we do and present and they teach different skills to the kids each week. It’s all about our choices that we make, and we also will talk about the challenges," explained Youth Resiliency Facilitator Kelli Curley. "Everybody has challenges, and every choice we make has a consequence. Now that could either be a good consequence or a negative consequence. And what we try to get the youth to think about, when you're making these choices, are they giving you your freedom? Are they giving you opportunity? And are they giving you self respect?"
She said they also cover the three main areas where youth spend their time: at home, at school, and amongst their peers.
