Oxford PONY keeps on rolling with a tight win vs Cooperstown

COOPERSTOWN – The Oxford Blackhawks PONY league team traveled to Doubleday to take on Cooperstown, returning home with a close 6-3 win. Oxford closed out the three-game series of taking two of the three games.

After two scoreless innings, Oxford got on the board with three runs in the top of the third. Noah Bush singled with one out, followed by a Joey Locke walk and a Uri Tracy walk with two outs to load the bases. Korbin Sampson cleared the bases with a three-run, two out double to center field.

Oxford held the lead until Cooperstown added a run in the fifth and two runs in the sixth to tie the game at three.
