OVF&HA Vice-Chair Michael Foor-Pessin said Archaeologist David Moyer will share his extensive knowledge of the Paleo-Indian and display artifacts documenting the Indigenous People of Central New York and their early contact with Euro-Americans.

He said the various Indigenous cultures developed and flourished near rivers and lakes and Moyer will discuss the prehistoric technology they used to fish and hunt.

“Moyer will concentrate on the Upper Susquehanna River Valley culture, approximately 700 to 900 years ago.” Foor-Pessin added.
