The 67th annual Canasawacta Country Club Member-Guest tournament is underway Thursday

NORWICH – The 67th annual Canasawacta Country Club member-guest tournament is finally here with practice rounds starting Wednesday and shotgun starts for the opening rounds at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 31. The tournament’s second round will be on Friday with the final round on Saturday with dinner and awards to follow.

Last year, Ryan Johnson and CJ Krowiak won the tournament over Nathan Scheer/Joe Mioduszewski and 2023 champions, Lee Skillin and Jim Gorski. The winners and runner-ups are returning this year as well as other notables like Mike and Bob Branham, Ryan Hagen and Eric Walling, and others who have seen their name on the leaderboards. It can be anyone’s game at any given time.

Owner and Course Superintendent Tim Carson is excited to welcome 180 players to this year’s tournament.

“The club is already buzzing with excitement,” Carson said. “Many new teams with lots of great talent this year so the Master’s flight should be a real challenge just to get in let alone take the winner’s circle. A wide range of abilities rounds out the other seven flights for the weekend so there is great competition for all.”

Carson also gives high honors to Head Professional Paul Brunick.
