SOUTH NEW BERLIN – After week 12 concluded on July 23, Billy Schermerhorn and John Edwards of Potter’s Tire found their way back into the leading spot in the South New Berlin Horseshoe Club. They lead by one game over Kelly’s Flowers (Lee Coon and Jess Sherwood), who sits in second with Rustic Ridge (Ron Anderson and George Hanslmaier) now moved to third, but only two games back.

Magro’s Pizzeria (Rob Rowlands and Lisa Rowlands), who had their share of the club lead, aren’t too far off in fourth place as The Stadium’s Al Bush and Al Patten push Carpet Protectors (Brian Prentice and Josh Prentice) down to sixth place to claim the fifth spot.

Anything can happen with four weeks remaining, including tonight’s week 13, which may come up lucky for some teams, fighting for the top spot.

Lee Coon took the top men’s leaderboards with a high singles gam of a 69 over Tim Lidell’s 68 and Billy Schermerhorn’s 59. Coon had the highest series of a 183 over Lidell’s 167 and Al Patten’s 157.

Kate Lloyd swept the top women’s boards with a high singles game of a 59 over Jess Sherwood’s 48 and Cindy Miller’s 41. Lloyd came away with the highest series of a 148 over Miller’s 110 and Sherwood’s 106.

Aside from leading the South New Berlin Horseshoe Club standings, Potter’s Tire took two of the four team leaderboards with the team high singles and high series victories while Williams Tire (Dave Robbins and Chris Davis) earned the high singles and high series handicap wins.

The South New Berlin Horseshoe Club meets every Wednesday night until the end of August.
