Have some summer fun at the Guernsey Memorial Library

NORWICH — The Guernsey Memorial Library, located at 3 Court Street in Norwich, is holding a variety of events and activities for all ages this August.
This summer's Movies Under the Stars will continue every Wednesday through August. The movies will begin at dusk, around 8:30 p.m., in the Library Park. There will be free popcorn, seating at picnic tables, and access to the Guernsey Library bathrooms. Visitors may also bring chairs or blankets to sit on.
A large screen will be set up in the park to screen the following movies: "Despicable Me 4" on August 6, "Flow" on August 13, "Moana 2" on August 20, and "Thunderbolts" on August 27.
There are several activities planned for children this August, with many of them following this year's Summer Reading Program theme, "Color Our World."
Children's Story Hour will continue as well, every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Children's Area until August 14. The weekly themes include the alphabet on August 5 and 7, and music on August 12 and 14.
Other children's activities include the Dusty and Dott puppet show at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6 in the Meeting Room; a dot painting activity at 10:30 a.m. on August 8; "Discover the Magic of Color" at 10 a.m. on August 10; LEGO Club at 6 p.m. on August 11; a Superhero Scavenger Hunt at 4 p.m. on August 13; a kids' Art Lab at 11 a.m. on August 8 and 15; and a Children's Summer Reading Party at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 18.
All kids' activities are hosted in the Children's Area.
